NEWFANE SELECTBOARD
MINUTES
OCTOBER 8, 2008
NEWFANE TOWN OFFICE

PRESENT:
Selectboard: Guy Wachtel, Joe Mandell, Gary Katz, Piet van Loon
Also Present: Shannon Meckle, Phil Woodward, Esq.

The meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m. by Gary Katz, Chair.

A motion was made by Piet van Loon and seconded by Guy Wachtel to enter Executive Session at 2:32 p.m. The vote was unanimous. Phil Woodward, Esq. attended the Executive Session.

A motion was made by Joe Mandell to come out of Executive Session at 3:10 p.m. The motion was seconded by Guy Wachtel. The motion was unanimous.

The consensus of the board was to have it as a matter of public record that the board conferred with the attorney in the ongoing legal process for Declaratory Ruling.

OTHER BUSINESS:
Gary mentioned that the South Newfane Schoolhouse is in need of some wood to shore up the floor boards, and wondered about taking some boards out of the cellar in the Williamsville Hall. Todd took a look, and didn’t see anything that needed to be kept. The consensus of the board was to let them take the wood and ratify the decision at the next regular meeting. It will be on the next regular agenda.

A motion was made by Piet van Loon and seconded by Guy Wachtel to adjourn the meeting at 3:12 p.m. Unanimous.
