MINUTES OF SITE VISIT
CONDUCTED
SEPTEMBER 22, 2008
GRIMES HILL ROAD

PRESENT:
Selectboard: Joe Mandell, Guy Wachtel, Gary Katz, Piet van Loon
Also Present: Todd Lawley, Shannon Meckle, Michael Whigham, Ed Druke

Gary called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

The board reviewed the Access Permit Application and measured the sight distance.

The site distance was estimated to be between 150’ and 225.’

Discussion ensued regarding the viability of cutting the edge of the bank that decreased sight distance. It was the consensus of those present that this would destabilize the bank, causing problems for Grimes Hill Road.

A motion was made by Guy Wachtel to approve the Access Permit Application with the condition that a Hidden Drive Left Sign be ordered by the town at the applicant’s expense, and would be installed by the town. The motion was seconded by Piet van Loon. The motion passed unanimously.

A motion was made by Guy Wachtel to adjourn the Site Visit at 9:32 a.m. to be reconvened at 10:00 at Parish Hill Road to look at a drainage issue. The motion was seconded by Piet van Loon. The motion passed unanimously.
