MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING - BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MARCH 11th, 2005
NEWFANE TOWN OFFICE

PRESENT:
Selectmen: Piet van Loon, Priscilla Cotton, Dan DeWalt, Patricia Halloran, and Gary Katz.
Also Present: Chris Petrak (3:30 p.m.), David Clarkson (3:50 p.m.), Tom Bedell (4:10 p.m.), Charles Bergmann (4:30 p.m.), and Ken Robinson (4:50 p.m.).

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting was called to order by Chairman Piet van Loon at 3:15 p.m.

2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
INTERVIEW CANDIDATES FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The Board members discussed the procedure for conducting of interviews of candidates for the three open positions on the Newfane Planning Commission. The candidates are Tom Bedell, Charles Bergmann, David Clarkson, Chris Petrak and Ken Robinson.
Motion was made by G. Katz and seconded by P. Cotton to go into Executive Session at 3:30 p.m. to interview candidates for the three open Planning Commission positions. Unanimous.
Following interviews of all candidates the Board voted, on motion of P. Cotton and seconded by D. DeWalt to return to open session at 5:25 p.m. Unanimous.
Motion was made by G. Katz and seconded by P. Halloran that appointments to the Newfane Planning Commission be made as follows: David Clarkson (2006), Kenneth Robinson (2007) and Tom Bedell (2009). Unanimous.

3. ADJOURNMENT
Motion was made by D. DeWalt and seconded by P. Cotton to adjourn the special meeting at 5:35 p.m. Unanimous.
