1. Chairman C. Berdan called meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.
2. Minutes of March 11, 2008 meeting read and accepted. (4:0)
3. It was reported that the gym at the school was obtained for the
April 1 orientation forum on the Zoning Bylaws revision, and some procedures
for that meeting were discussed. An announcement about it appeared in
the Brattleboro Reformer on March 14.
4. S. Fillion took the floor and the full draft of the Zoning Bylaws,
including the Definitions section, was discussed, with some further
tweaking of a few sections and definitions.
5. G. Garbe will pick up a copy of the Bylaws for reprinting--50 copies,
to be available at the Town office and at the meeting.
6. Some further discussion regarding the April 1 meeting. S. Fillion
will make a roughly half-hour presentation concerning the bylaws and
the zoning districts, we’ll take questions at the end (avoiding
specifics best addressed by the Zoning Administrator), and try to end
by 9 p.m. at the latest.
7. Regular meeting of March 25 canceled. Regular meeting of April 8
will revert to 7 p.m. start time.
8. B. Morse addressed some remarks to the Commission, and it was suggested
he confer with the Zoning Administrator.
9. A motion was made, seconded and passed (4:0) to recommend to the
Selectboard that the Town position of Zoning Administrator be increased
in compensation to $13 an hour, at a suggested ten hours per week.
