1.        CALL TO ORDER Gary Katz, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

2.         MINUTES The minutes of January 7, 2010 were reviewed. A motion was made by Todd Lawley and seconded by Jeff Gouger to approve as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

3.         ROAD BUSINESS

Road Foreman’s Report: See attached report.

After discussion about the sight visibility at the Covered Bridge Project, the consensus of the board was to draft a letter for Gary’s signature, noting that complaints have been steadily coming in, related to poor visibility next to the covered bridge construction site, especially in the daytime when there is not the added benefit of headlights.

The board will also note that they assume since this is a State project, the liability would stand with the state. The letter will also strongly recommend traffic control signals.

A motion as such was made by Todd Lawley and seconded by Christopher Williams. The motion carried unanimously.

Christopher Williams noted that the hemlock trees on River Road are blocking visibility.
